HP Pavillion 15; Serious Battery Issue.

Hey Everyone! I am just gonna drop straight into the problem. I have my laptop [ HP PAVILLION 15 AU-100NX ] for about 3.5 years now and it has this issue with battery which keeps annoying me and has costed me alot of money.
I use softwares like Proteus, PTC Creo, SolidWorks, MatLab etc. and also play games like Csgo, warframe etc. Now the issue is that after almost a year of using this laptop my battery started to act weirdly, my laptop would lag and have low frames per second after a certain percentage of battery was reached, and this affected the laptop’s speed and performance and a few moments after this lagging the laptop would just shut down without any “Hibernating” or “Low battery” Dialogue showing up. Usually when this happens my laptop won’t turn on, not even the light of power button, I noticed that when I would press power button though the led beside the charging port would blink three times. Anyways the laptop would only turn on after I connect AC Adapter. By the way, after the first time this happened the battery life reduced to mere minutes before this would happen again and suddenly I am left with a laptop which virtually works on only AC adapter.
I bought a new battery and all this happened again after a month or so.
One day my laptop just shutdown on its own and it was the end, I got it checked and motherboard was apparently dead. After 8 months of Quarantine I replaced it with a new motherboard and got an SSD and a new battery. I thought maybe if I have replaced ideally everything, this wouldn’t bother me much but to my surprise 3 weeks later this third new battery has now done the same thing and is on the brink of uselessness again.
Let me tell you what happens this time, laptop charges up until 24%, then just shows (Plugged In), and it wouldnt charge more, as soon as I unplug it would show me 19 minutes left and when it reaches 20% it would shutdown with a small clicking sound and won’t turn on until I plug it in.
Please help guys, I couldn’t find the solution anywhere.
PS: I tried the bios check thing on start for the battery. It sometime shows nothing and sometimes a failure code.

are you buying new batteries as in off the shelf, from some retailer, still in its packaging or as in freshly repacked with new cells.
because the former, although newly purchased, is no guarantee that they are newly made. they could have easily been waiting on the shelf for 2 years for someone to buy them.
whereas the later, they pulled apart the current battery molding and replace the cells inside with new ones.

Lithium-Ion batteries last about 2 years - used or not used - as the lithium in them starts to oxidise and their storage capacity reduces.

you should have warranty on the ‘new’ batteries.
and chance you still have extended warranty on the laptop?

also, with laptops, Windows detects the device and defaults to a power plan that reduces power to extend battery life. this includes reducing processor speed which may account for your lags.
setting the Power Plan in Control Panel to High Performance should help.

New batteries off the shelf.
Yes I have warranty on battery, but I am out of city and that shop just burnt to ashes so I’m waiting for them to get their **** together.
I set it to high performance but it would still lag the same, its like, videos would get stuck especially youtube although they have buffered and overall it would be like I have a wooden PC my speakers would have some skreechy noise when any audio would come out of them, well not skreechy but laggy.

check the label on the battery, hopefully there is a manufactured date that tells you when the battery was made.

I have no idea but there are multiple years written. Please tell me if you have any idea if this is an old battery. it has two stickers,

1. 1st row → H 2019
   2nd row-> Z [1-10 all numbers]
2. 1st row-> L 2020 2021
   2nd row-> P [1-12 all numbers]
   Battery Model - BP02XL
   and there is some chinese and english written

looks like 2019.

is there a big sticker (bottom right corner) that says MFG DATE, that’s the manufactured date.
should be in the format YYYY/MM

yeah you are right, its mfg is 2019/11 and I bought it in 2020/10. But its one year do you think it would be this bad?

you effectively got a ‘new’ battery that was potentially already half way through its expected life, and that was providing it was stored in ideal conditions.

although I’d expect you to be right about ‘would it be this bad’, there is no way to tell for sure.
