Hi there,
Iβm posting for my partner.
We have tried everything that we can find on google, to try and get her laptop to detect a microphone on a headset to be detected, but with no luck so far.
It was working fine, then she had a fresh install of windows 10 done and now it just isnβt detecting the device at all.
We have tried:
[ul]
[li]Uninstalling and reinstalling the conexant audio drivers on device manager[/li][li]Checking for updates on the device manager[/li][li]Tried different microphones[/li][li]Used the troubleshooter thatβs built into windows (Does that thing ever work? lol)[/li][li]We have made sure that Conexant is running on start-up and it is[/li][li]We have tried the Smart Audio program to get things to work and thatβs unsuccessful[/li][/ul]
The only thing that does sort of help is Smart Audio, if she changes the jack configuration to something else then back to headphones it will make the built in microphone a little bit clearer, but itβs still pretty bad really.
Her Laptop Specs are:
Lenovo 80FF Laptop - Windows 10
Processor: Intel (R) Coreβ’ i3-5020U CPU @ 2.20GHz. 2200 Mhz, 2 Core(s)
Baseboard: Lenovo G70-80
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 920M
RAM: 1GB
Resolution: 1600 x 900 x 60 Hertz
Neither of us are the best with technology, so please try not to use many big tech words!
Thanks for your help in advance
