    mouse keyboard issues

My friend has a PC laptop using a Logitech M185 mouse and a k270 wireless keyboard. The mouse broke and was replaced with a like-new one and the nano USB receiver from the replacement mouse was inserted in the laptop. The new mouse then worked fine but the keyboard did not operate. What do I do? I am 88 and a Mac user so please respond as if you’re talking to a 5-year old.

that Logitech keyboard may need to be pair again to the nano receiver.
download Logitech Unifying software to do that.

Or better still get your friend who owns the pc to join up and ask. This will make assisting direct and accurate.

I will do what you suggest. Also, I agree with your thought that it would be better for him to post on this forum directly: how ever he is severely computer illiterate and has trouble just entering his password.

You need to pair the keyboard with the new nano receiver using the Logitech unifying software.

Download it here if you don’t already have it:

Open this & choose add device.
If you require a different version: Unifying Software – Logitech Support + Download
