Windows 10 laptop for around £300

I’m looking to buy a laptop for about £300 for my parent to use for emails and light use ( maybe youtube ) i’m finding it hard since i don’t know too much about low end specs. I’ve chosen 2 so far but help would be really appreciate.

    1st https://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/compu...74098-pdt.html

    2nd Amazon.co.uk

    Any suggestions would be great!
    Thanks

    Hello

I would go personally with number 2. Number one is just to basic to me.

Hopefully more of our members will chime in soon.

I don’t live in the UK so I can’t tell but here is a list from April

You might want to check prices and read reviews. I usually look at models and then read reviews on a few sites to see if problems are reported. I don’t know a few of those brands so I’d probably avoid them. You find more users and hence more online support with the well known name brands.

Looking at the possibility of an SSD I didn’t realise low end laptops had them i’m still drawn to the HP one i linked on amazon.

        some other ones I found

        Amazon.co.uk
Nearly £100 cheaper as its on sale. not sure if that’s a good thing though. would that be better than the one from Amazon i linked ?

No one replied to me but i decided to up my budget a tiny bit so I can atleast get something with an I3 and I found 2 laptops which are practicly the same just one has 1366×768 resolution and a 128gb ssd and the other has 500gb HDD and a 1080p display

          1080P & 500GB HDD

          1366 Resolution 128gb SSD

Really stuck between both but I know i want to get an I3 since it will probably be better and last longer than something £50 cheaper.

1366 Resolution 128 GB SSD is my choice of these two.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same as their eyesight isn’t the best and 1366 would have bigger icons and writing ? would it be blury on a 15.6" screen though.
Also I forgot to add they probably won’t be storing much on the laptop. so a 128gb SSD and the 1366 Res would be a better trade off than the HDD ?

I also read the reviews. (Positive)
SSD, it will be quite fast, compared to a mechanical Hard Drive.
                Price is right.
