Dell Latitude 7440, Dell WD19S, and 2 ViewSonic monitors

I am hoping someone can help me with a laptop/docking station/dual monitor set up that I am struggling with. I am using the display port cables to connect the 2 monitors to the docking station and have all 3 of those components plugged into power. I then use the USB-C cable to connect this all to the Dell Latitude 7440. The issue I am having is that it "sees" both monitors, but will only display on one at a time. I can do either one, but only one.

Now, I tested this with my Dell Latitude 5340 and it works perfectly!!

But then I go back to the 7440 and it does not work. It will not extend the desktop across the 2 ViewSonic monitors. In fact, in Display settings, it shows one larger and blue (active) and the other smaller and gray (inactive).

Any suggestions here? I have tried both USB-C ports on the 7440 and both act the same. It is just so strange that it works perfectly on the 5340.

BTW... these are just basic 1920x1080 ViewSonic monitors and not 4k

   • Run Dell Command | Update and ensure all BIOS, Thunderbolt, and graphics driver updates are applied.
   • Restart the system after the updates complete.
2. Dock Firmware
   • If you’re using a Dell WD, WD19S, WD22TB4, or similar dock, download and apply the latest dock firmware update from Dell’s support site.
3. Check Display Settings
   • Press Windows + P and choose Extend to confirm the system isn’t stuck in Duplicate mode.
   • In Display Settings, verify both monitors are detected and try enabling the inactive one manually.
4. Intel Graphics Command Center
   • Open the Intel Graphics Command Center → Display → Multiple Displays and confirm both external monitors appear.
   • If one is disabled, enable it from there.
5. BIOS Settings
   • Reboot and enter BIOS Setup (F2 during startup).
   • Under Video → Multi-Display, make sure Enable Multi-Display is checked.
6. Hardware/Port Limitation
   • Some Latitude 7440 models only support a single DisplayPort stream over USB-C, depending on the dock and configuration.
