Can I reset my HP laptop to factory settings without losing my MICROSOFT word which I installed

You will have to reinstall Microsoft Word. Reset will put the system back to what it was like when you first purchased the system.

or to spin it another way, you will have to reinstall ALL software you had installed, like printers, security, PDF readers, iTunes, Chrome, Firefox etc.
and you’ll have to re-customise it, wallpaper, screensaver, power settings, music library, user accounts, email settings.
and, please, don’t forget to backup all your personal data beforehand.
