    Screen Resolution issues

    I recently bought a laptop with a 4k monitor, I enjoyed the higher resolution for a while until I noticed that many of my apps and games appeared way too small. I did some looking online and found that my laptop was capable of running a more app friendly resolution. I changed it over, but then found that in some apps I couldn’t see my mouse. I wanted to try and switch back to the original resolution but when I do, all my windows spawn in the lower left corner, impossible to reach.
    I would like to, in a perfect world, switch between the two resolutions; but first I need to figure out the off center problem with the higher resolution, and then I need to figure out what the best method would be. Can anyone help me?

      Not sure that this is doable software wise tbh and suspect that the only way would be through Settings or switching from the integrated video to a discreet graphics device if the computer has one.

      To begin with check for a system restore point that is before you changed the resolution, when you post back with an update to let us know if a system restore point was found and worked can you also post the brand and model name or number of the notebook so that we can check the specs.

        I do not have a restore point, and the laptop is an Asus Q53UX 2-in-1. if I can’t switch between resolutions I would like to see if the problem with my mouse at the lower resolution can be fixed.

          Try a refresh see guide here or alternatively make a note of my steps below;

          A: The refresh option does not delete your personal data but may remove certain apps such as Chrome etc, I do however always recommend that folk back up any important data before carrying out a refresh or making any significant changes to the computers software or hardware.

          1: Right click on the notifications icon, bottom right on the task bar then click on Open Action Centre.

          2: Click on the All settings tab.

          3: Click on the Update & Security tab.

          4: Click on the Recovery tab to the left.

          5: Click on the Get started tab.

          6: Click on the Keep my files option.

          7: Follow any on screen messages.

          8: Post back with an update for us.

            Not heard back from you TieDye, do you still require assistance or is the issue now resolved, an update would be appreciated.
