I own a ASUS K401U which was working just last night and after going to sleep and waking back up, the computer turns on but itβs just a black screen and I donβt hear anything from the inside.
The same thing happened yesterday but after leaving it for a few hours off, it started working normally!
Hi ILWG. Try powering off the laptop, disconnecting the battery from the laptop, reconnecting the battery and then powering on the laptop again and see if the laptop will power on and boot up normally.
Do you see the laptop manufacturer boot logo on startup when you turn the laptop on? What make and model of laptop do you have?

The manufacturer boot logo does not come up at all. Its simply a black screen.
Iβm not sure what make or model it is yet as I am outside.
Also is it safe to remove the battery as it is inside the computer?
