Need Help Finding Right RAM for Laptop

So I am looking to upgrade a bit with my Laptop’s RAM, I currently have one 8 GB stick. I can’t afford to upgrade to 16GBs so i’m just gong to get a 4GB stick to go with the 8GB stick. The problem is i’m not sure what kind to get. I tried every memory scan tool out there and none of them were able to tell me what kind of memory I have. I did open up the laptop and it says on the RAM Samsung 8GB 1Rx8 PC4-2400T-SA1-11. So I am assuming I should get a stick of 4GB PC4-2400T RAM, is that right, I’m not sure what the 1Rx8 or the SA11-11 is about, I’ve never seen that. I usually get everything off Amazon but the only thing that cane up when I searched for 4GB PC4-2400T was this https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...=4GB+PC4-2400T is that Crucial one the right one, does anyone know where I can get it cheaper.

2015 models and older use DDR3. Is yours 2015 and older or a newer variant?

I’m really not sure, I got the laptop from my school last week from HP, so I’m assuming its newer, I know the processor is a Intel Core i7-6500U 2.50GHz and i’m running Windows 10 Pro 64

Go ahead and download CPU-Z. It’ll tell you exactly what RAM you have in it already.

There’s your answer If it says DIMM, SO-DIMM wouldn’t work as it’s shorter than a DIMM module.
