Can't change boot order in BIOS

    Here’s a video demonstration:

It’s acting as if the left and right arrow keys don’t exist, even though they work fine in Windows XP. I want to boot off of DVD drive.

Post a screen shot of the screen you move the video to fast for me to see what the keys are. Have you referred to the manual?

    Some are
    Page Up
    Page Down
    F5
    F6
    Enter (then select the one)

Can you make changes on any one of the pages?

        Have you reset the BIOS?

        Tried a USB keyboard?

Try using plus and minus keys.

              Hi Nick.
Maybe you made a boo boo navigating the Bios is my thoughts.
              The HDD is prob fine.
The Bios navigation can be daunting for first timers.

                Hi again Nick.
I would boot into the Bios once again. Work your away across to “Exit”.
Click on “Exit”. You should have four options.
Click on “Load Set up Defaults”
A confirmation Box should appear, with “Yes” already highlighted.
                Click on “Yes”.
Your system will boot and you should be good to go.

Trust me, I know how that works. But the hard drive really did fail… it just clicks now when you turn it on and it doesn’t boot to anything…

With some BIOS it will get you to a screen where you can do a one time boot to something else by pressing F12 (if it is activated).
