    Underperforming PC. Help!

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place.

Recently I upgraded my GPU to an AMD 7800xt, mainly for esports games like CS2 and Rainbow Six. Games feel much smoother on it compared to my previous card but I’m getting much lower performance than I was expecting.

In CS2 on the lowest possible settings at 1280x960 (in a deathmatch) I got an average of 150fps. I was expecting to be stable and way above my monitors refresh rate of 240 with this card.
In Rainbow six I get an average of 200fps, which is good but once again below my monitors refresh rate and not that much better than my previous card (1080Ti).

In CS2 Gpu usage is very low, usually sitting around 45-60%. My cpu usually runs at 30-40% and temps are fine so I don’t think there is a bottleneck there.

What could be wrong here? potentially could be that my motherboard isn’t good enough to deliver power efficiently to the card, or that my 700w psu isnt cutting it?

Full specs and picture of performance metrics below. Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Your GPU ( Specs here ) needs a minimum of a 750W or above Gold efficiency rated PSU from one of the following, Corsair RM range, EVGA, Seasonic or Super Flower, seven year warranty minimum but preferably ten.

The present cheap and nasty weak PSU should not be used anywhere near any add on video card, it is so bad that it is on the – Tier E • Avoid list here
