    EZ diagnostic VGA lit,PC slow.

    MSI B450M Pro-VDH Max motherboard
16 Gig ram (2 × 8gig Corsair Vengeance Pro SL)
    NVidia GeForce 1080 Ti
    Klev Cras 960gb M.2 NVMe
    Windows 11 OS

System just over a year old. 3 days ago : start system up, no display and EZ diagnostic led on indicating VGA. Reseat VGA ,no display and led still on. By chance, left the PC on while Googling for possible remedies ,and Bios came up after about 5 minutes. Format drive, clean and reseat VGA, memory and hdd.

Managed to get Windows running. EZ diagnostic led goes off once Windows is running. My issue is: bootup used to take round 30-40 seconds (power on to desktop). Bootup now takes 5 or more minutes. Once Windows initiates, PC operates normally (no lag, glitches or freezing). What could cause this?

The gpu &/or the hard drive may be failing.
Have you run chkdsk on the drive?
Have you checked for any graphics driver or/& BIOS updates? Also what Windows build are you running? 23H2 is the latest for 11.

Thanx for the response. Check disk was run (passed all), and Windows eventually reloaded as mentioned. My Windows 11 is build 22H2 if I remember correctly. Have not run windows updates since the format. Bios not updated. Latest graphics driver installed.

The latest is 23H2 so you may wish to update. I’d also check for any BIOS update.
