    GPU issues

Hi, I’m having a problem with my computer, which I’ve had for a year. In the past 2-3 days, it’s been causing some issues. For example, yesterday while I was playing Farming Simulator 2022, after about 10 minutes, the game crashed, the screen went black, and I saw various green and red pixels scattered across the screen. I ran some tests with 3DMark, and although these tests did not cause a crash or show any pixels, I used the GPU at 100% capacity, reaching a high of 90-93 degrees Celsius. I have never had any problems before and I really don’t know what could be causing the issues, which always occur when I play any game, but not when I use the PC for YouTube, etc. The components include an i3 12100f, 16 GB DDR4 3200 RAM, RTX 3060ti GDDR6 8GB, an 850W power supply (which I received new from someone a while back), and a Gigabyte H610M H DDR4 motherboard, socket 1700.(note that in Farming Simulator, it was not used 100% and the temperature was between 65-70 degrees Celsius).

Any luck checking for dust buildup?

Try running the rig with D:\ and E:\ drives disconnected.

And have you checked the driver version for the RTX3060. Use the DDU utility if you need to uninstall your current GPU driver.

I’ve cleaned everything from dust. I have the latest driver for the graphics card, but I don’t have image when I enter advanced startup to get into safe mode in order to uninstall the driver with DDU.

After I cleaned it, I played several games and didn’t experience any crashes after playing for 10-30 minutes. But I’d like to know what’s up with safe mode, why don’t I have any image when I enter it?

Can you try Safe Mode again?
I’ve never had a rig not show an image on the screen in Safe Mode but show one in normal mode.

What was your process to start into Safe Mode?

            What about trying msconfig?
Right click the Start button, select Run and type in msconfig, click the Boot tab and tick the Safe boot box.
Don’t forget, when you do get into Safe Mode to then repeat that process and untick the Safe boot box to be able to start back into normal mode.

You can also try holding Shift as you click Start > Power > Restart.

I solved the issue with safe mode; a BIOS update was needed. In the meantime, I reinstalled Windows, and so far, I haven’t had any more problems with crashes.
