[GPU causes this] Second monitor turns off.

Ive just bought a new displayport-vga adapter (which is working ive tested it). I have two monitors, one connected by this adapter, second by hdmi-dvi adapter (working too). There is a strange problem - when I connect main monitor, additional one turns off (and windows doesnt even see it), when I plug them both out, connect additional monitor firstly - then this one is working, and when I add main monitor - its not working, only additional works. What the hell is going on and what should I do? It seems like a software problem, all pc parts are working fine I guess.

Sorry but you have post on a tech forum asking for help but have provided zero information about your computer or it`s hardware, this makes it impossible for anyone to even hazard a guess as to what is going on.

Is the computer a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the CPU, MB, the RAM ( including the amount and speed ) add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable folk to better help you.

Fwiw, using adapters is always a last resort and especially when it comes to video output.

Being that the OP revisited the forum but chose not to acknowledge my reply this thread will be closed.
