So I think I have everything hooked up right but I’ve been googling and youtubing and unhooking and rebooking and this and that.
My fingers actually hurt lol.
I have the case cables hooked up right but when I turn it on the motherboard just lights up but nothing else happens.
Anyone wanna try to help?
Also I think it’s something I’m doing wrong because I’ve tried different combinations of motherboards (x3) and graphics cards (x3) and power supplies (x) with different connecting cables.
I’ve been working on this for two straight days.
4 adderall later and I’m at the same place…
Here’s the different pieces I’ve tried together lol.
Can I suggest you stop using the case as your test bed.
This will allow you to swap parts much easier and faster.
Lay all the parts out on a piece of cardboard and firstly give everything a good clean with a soft bristled brush and microfibre cloth.
That EVGA card looks like a dogs breakfast on the back!
And the case is clearly showing sings of being ‘modified’ to fit parts it was not designed for.
When connecting, on this piece of cardboard, just connect the essential components needed to boot the PC.
We don’t know your specs yet, but if the motherboard and processor allow it, don’t use a GPU and plug the monitor straight into the mobo.
Use only one memory stick, one storage drive for booting, and not even a keyboard or mouse at this stage - we just want to get a signal to the screen.
as Bruce says assemble outside the case on cardboard.
You need to pick
1 motherboard
1 CPU
1 lot of ram
1 powersupply
Tell us what those parts are.
Not for example intel i5 they make a lot or i5
We need info such as intel i5 12400F
This way we can look up specs and compatibility
Also ps NOT 750w
We need for example Corsair RM850x 850W Power Supply, 80 PLUS Gold
