    Power supply cables

I recently purchased a Gigabyte 750w full modular power supply. This is my first modular power supply and I am confused as to which cable are for the cpu and the gpu. It came with 2 sets of cables with 8 pins and 2 sets of cable that look identical but with 1 pin missing. Which set is the for the cpu and which is for the gpu?

    Thanks.

At the ends of the cables, is there any sort of identification?
Either a sticker on the cable or a label etched into the plastic end.

CPU is 4+4 pins whereas PCI-E is 6+2 pins.

You don`t mention which articular unit you purchased nor whether it was out of the box new but if it was new and there was no user manual in the box I would question the PSUs validity, this unless it has a card saying that you have to download the manual which would be both rubbish and useless.
