    Wifi Faster Than Ethernet

So I recently made a build and I noticed low speeds when I was using my wireless wifi adapter. I moved my router which is a basic Frontier 5ghz router (I know that’s bad) near my PC. I used a CAT6 (newly purchased) to connect to my Fractal Design Casing.

The problem is when I run a speed test I consistently get around 80 - 100 MBPS download and 80 - 100 MPBS upload. The corky thing is when I connect to the Wifi and do a speed test I get 300+ MBPS and when I hook my router to my laptop with the same ethernet cord I get 300+ as well.

Is this a form of bottlenecking? I feel like speeds are better but the numbers don’t line up. I just want to see how I can get those numbers on my gaming PC.

Here are my parts in the PC

    Any help HIGHLY WELCOMED!!!

    Thanks, Bryan

    Hello

Is this a built wifi or a peripheral device, if so give us those spec’s on it.

Did you download the drivers from MSI?
Before doing any install, it is a good idea to go to the support page for your system. Download the drivers you are going to need i.e. chipset, sound, video, wireless, etc. Whilst Win10/11 have a lot of native drivers, Microsoft drivers are designed for ease of use and are NOT designed for any type of performance.
When you are finished with the Windows install, then install your drivers.

      Reboot after installing the drivers
