What do I need to swap or change, to install Windows 11 on my new pc..

Hi Guys hope you can advise me. So I decided to upgrade my pc and bought a new one. My old one had a i5 processor and even windows 11 installed. My new pc was a i7 processor, with windows 10 installed. Is it possible for me in order to install windows 11, swap my i7 to the previous i5 to get it to work. Or even swap the system boot disc. My appolegies if I have raised this matter in the past. I enclosed Speccy.

    Hello,

We’ll need the model of the i5 processor to confirm if they can be swapped. Motherboards are very limited with their compatibility with CPUs.

On your Windows 10 computer, if you click the Windows key and search “Check for Updates” and open it, then there should be a banner to download Windows 11 from there. Based on that I don’t think you need to switch disks, but even if you did, Windows will be able to detect if the disk is in a new computer, and will likely cause issues with booting up the computer properly.

      I don’t see a TPM,

      Can you check for it?

      Press WIN+R and type
      tpm.msc

      then press enter.

It said " Compatible TPM cannot be found. Verify that this pc has a 1.2 TPMor later, and it is turned on in the Bios.

Windows 11 does not support Intel processors that pre date 8th gen CPUs, while Windows 11 can be installed on older hardware it requires a hack to do so, PCHF like all reputable forums does not support such a hack so this thread will be closed accordingly.
