    BIOS issue?

    Hi there!
I was building my spare rig with used parts or hand-me-downs from my main rig but for the motherboard, I had decided to try something different and bought a Soyo board (B550M Dragon) from AliExpress. There are some YouTube videos recommended this board highly. When I installed It I discovered it was with very old bios. So I’ve updated it with the latest bios from Soyo website (it’s all in Chinese) and lo and behold it now boots straight into the bios everytime the PC restarts or turned on. I could use the boot override to boot into windows and everything is normal once booted in. It’s just annoying having to go through the bios everytime the PC restarts/turned on. I tried reflashing back to earlier bios but it will hang..please see attached photo. Hoping for any insights or help into this, thx !

Let’s get your complete PC specs.
Get Speccy; Speccy - Download Builds
In Speccy, click File > Publish Snapshot (hit Yes if prompted to proceed with publish) > Copy to Clipboard > Close.
Now you can paste that link into your next post.

Speccy doesn’t show the Power Supply Unit so, if a Desktop PC, list the make/model of the PSU.

      Is Speccy safe?

And also check your memory is in the Quality Vendors List for that motherboard.

It probably had an old BIOS version due to SOYO going bust and being taken over by Maxsun, so maybe the new owners are flogging off their old boards really cheap.

And the used parts you included in this Frankenstein build, they were working in the rig they came out of?

Hi all, I’ve sent the Mobo to a guy who knows how to fix/replace bios chip. Now the bios is working as it should. Thank you all for your time!
