New Consair Fans

Hi,
I’m after some advice on fitting new fans in a gaming PC.
The computer currently has 3 rgb fans on the front controlled by a thermaltake controller, 2 on the top mounted to a radiator, these 2 are powered from the motherboard but also wire into the thermaltake controller, 1 non rgb 3 pin fan at the back plugged into the rgb controller. There is also a wire from the CPU cooling pump that daisy chains into the fan wires going to the thermaltake controller, I’m guessing this is so the rgb lights on the pump work.
I am wanting to change all the RGB fans for new corsair AF120 RGB elite fans all running from the CORSAIR RGB hub.
The issue is that there is no port on the corsair hub for the 3 pin non RGB fan at the back or the wire coming from the CPU pump head (different connector to corsair.
Can I leave the old thermaltake controller in just to run these two & run all the new corsair fans separately from the corsair hub?
Any advice much appreciated as I am a PC novice.

A hub usually runs off one of two methods:

A PWM hub has 1 fan connected that acts as the signal fan and is used to gather information by the motherboard, this information is used to flood power signals out all ports on the fan hub. (This usually connects to a motherboard fan header, and at least one SATA power connection).

The other is a USB fan hub, which is connected to a motherboard’s USB header and is typically controlled by a software. (This usually connects with the USB header and a SATA connector).

With that out of the way- there’s no reason why you can’t have more than one fan hub installed in a PC. However, make sure you’re keeping your systems straight, don’t have half of the chassis fans, a CPU fan, and an M.2 fan all running off one signal. The CPU fans should be controlled by their proper header, same for the chassis fans, and any others.

The only other limitation off hand is -as veeg suggested- a power supply, but if you have a quality 80+ Gold power supply that meets your GPUs recommendations I wouldn’t worry about this.
