New pc showing junk on monitor, first boot

Hi all, assembling my first PC. The monitor is plugged into the gpu properly everything else seems fine. It just won’t show anything real on the monitor. All parts were troubleshot by my friend who is a programmer.

    Any advice?

Give us the brand/make/model of the motherboard, processor, memory, graphics card, and power supply.
Try only one memory stick at a time, if no better, try the other stick.
If the motherboard and processor have dedicated graphics, remove the graphics card and plug the monitor into the motherboard.

Can see a potential problem there but can we have some additional info.

          Has the build ever worked.

What is the display like if you leave the computer sitting in the BIOS.
