I just built a new ITX build, and had a 500GB SSD already before building but wanted to upgrade my memory. Ordered a new SSD but after I installed it my computer could not locate it, it wasn’t in the BIOS or Disk Manager either. But when I swapped my old SSD to the second slot and moved the new one to the first slot my computer did find the new one but my old one was not found. I’m hoping there is just a setting I can change and I dont have to completely replace my motherboard… My specs are:
[ul]
[li]ROG Strix Z690-I motherboard[/li]li Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB Gen 3[/li]li Kingsman Gaming KE680 2 TB Gen 4x4[/li][/ul]
While you are waiting for other to input check these.
Make sure that they BIOS is set correctly?
Clear the CMOS?
remove the old one does the new on show?
Checked to see if there is a BIOS update that may correct this issue?
Put the old back as the primary and remove the new does it show?
