Screen and peripherals not turning on (previously fixed by resetting CMOS)

I have had this problem since I bought the computer six months ago. Sometimes the computer turns on but not the peripherals or monitor. Sometimes the computer would turn on (fans moving, light around button on) for approximately 30min ones intervals, then then off (fans would stop), and then turn on again, and repeat forever.

I have fixed this a few times in this past by removing the CMOS battery and also resetting it using the pins on my motherboard.

However, this has not worked this time around. I have tried the battery and pins strategy multiple times. I have also tried removing and cleaning the RAM. I know it is not a problem with the GPU because I have taken that out while fixing.

The weird thing is that this time I think the mouse and keyboard might actually be connected. I don’t remember the keyboard every lighting up in the past but now it is.

Also, the screen definitely detects something. It will briefly turn on to say “No Signal”, go black for about 10 seconds, then turn on to show the message again. It keeps doing this for as long as the computer is turned on.

Any ideas of what could be happening?

I would have returned/RMA’d it then. If the answer to veeg’s question above is yes. I’d send/take it back for a replacement or at least repair.
The more you tinker, the further you risk canceling the warranty if one exists. If, you’ve only had it 6 months, most manufacturers come with at least a year warranty.
