CPU debug light red and screen going to standby mode

I’m using a amd ryzen 5600x cpu with msi b450 tomahawk max motherboard and amd radeon 6600xt gpu. The fans are working, the gpu is working but every time I turn the pc on the cpu debug light turns red and my monitor goes into standby mode.

Have these parts ever worked together.

What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

What is the brand and model name or number of the RAM and how many sticks of it do you have.

You need a new PSU for starters, Huntkey are one of the worst brands of PSU ever made and they 100% should not be used when there is an add on GPU involved.

What third party brand is your 6600xt.

Apologies for the delay getting back to you, I missed your reply #4 I’m afraid

You do need a new PSU but before purchasing one I suggest one of two things, get the PC tested by a local tech who will have the required kit to do it or ask around to see if you can borrow an appropriate PSU to swap in for testing purposes, Huntkey are so bad that the present PSU may have damaged one or more components.

An example of a PSU that can be used for testing the present build Evga 500 Gd, 80+ Gold 500W if not available, anything from Corsair, EVGA or Seasonic that is 550W or above, in warranty and a minimum of Bronze efficiency rated.
