I just bought an i9-13900KF; need a cooler, wondered if anyone could recommend one. I was going to go with a liquid cooler. I use MSFS 2020 and XP12 mostly. I have a ASUS Strix Z790 mobo, and a Corsair Obsidian 650D case. I have an EVGA 1600W PSU, and a Nvidia 3090 GPU.
[HEADING=2]I was looking at this for starters: Corsair 240mm H100x RGB Elite Intel/AMD CPU Liquid Cooler.[/HEADING]
as long as you stick to a reputable brand, I don’t think you can go wrong.
I see there have been reports of it hitting high 90’s under full load.
the die is designed to handle 100 max but you’d still want to keep it well away from that limit.
also get a good thermal paste, and make sure you tweak the BIOS power profiles to keep it cool.
also consider some good, extra case fans.
