New 10 TB external harddrive is giving me slow boot and some windows startup freezing?

    Hi.
I don’t know if I’m in the right place, but now I’m trying.
I have bought a new 10 TB hard drive instead of my 8 TB, due to lack of space.
It works well enough, but when I restart my computer, it takes about twice as long before Windows is loaded. And I can only access the hard drive 3-4 minutes after windows has been loaded.
But if I take it out of the usb socket and plug it back in, everything works fine right away?!
Do you have any idea what is wrong? There were no problems with the old 8 TB. Both are Seagate. The new one: One Touch.
    and both NTFS.
The driver is up to date, and no disc erorrors. I ran a test in windows.

    Sincerely, Andreas…

    Hello

Are you using the 10TB drive as an external drive for storage? If so what happens if you unplug the 10 TB drive before you start the pc ?

My PC is 8 month old. Usb 3.0.
Where do I check version of usb compatibility on the new drive?

Since the drive is new it is more than likely 3.0 as well
            Let me get more input..

Do you have any other USB devices plugged in (other that keyboard/mouse)? It might be a USB conflict for power issue.

              Any clues in Event Viewer?

No, just a little usb key, for the wireless keyboard and Mouse.

Most of the USB standards are backwards compatible. 2.0 will read/write on a 3.1 although at 2.0 speeds.

What is the make/model of the new drive? Seagate what?

To check event viewer as mentioned by @PCProbs
