What Graphics Card can I get?

Hi. I am looking to upgrade my graphics card but I don’t know how ‘good’ I can go. I don’t want to get one that is too powerful for my PC to handle. I’m guessing that I will need to get a new power supply to go with it. I’m willing to go up to £1,500 ($1,928 at time of post). Could somebody let me know what I can get please. I just want a basic fan that can handle the card. My Specs are:

Processor (CPU) AMD Ryzen 5 3500X Six Core CPU (3.6GHz-4.1GHz/35MB
Motherboard ASUS® TUF X570-PLUS GAMING (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0, CrossFireX) - ARGB Ready
    Memory (RAM) 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 2400MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card 6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060 - HDMI, DP - VR Ready
Power Supply CORSAIR 450W CV SERIES™ CV-450 POWER SUPPLY
Processor Cooling PCS FrostFlow 80 Series High Performance CPU Cooler (AMD)

    Many Thanks

The RAM is too slow for the CPU and so causing a bottleneck.

The PSU should never have been used anywhere near an add on GPU, it does not have enough wattage + CV = Corsair Value and this particular range is only intended to be used for onboard video.

There is no such thing, put what you want in a PC and all that will happen if you don`t utilise the full specs of an item of hardware is your bank balance will take a hit for nothing, you having 32GB of slow RAM is an example of this.

Let us know what games or programs you want to be able to run and we will go from there, you may only need faster RAM and an appropriate PSU and that will save you a fortune.

Tou have answered my first question, although in a quite abrupt, “Look up at me” way. What games are played is irrelevant. It is a family PC with many genres of games played. I just play games like Civ, Total War, Hearts of Iron etc., Others can play games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Deathloop, MGS, and others can play more intensive games whilst also playing card games.

I know my fan is not good enough, that is why I asked advice for a replacement to match the new card. I did not need to be spoken down to about it.

I will go to somewhere else that is more welcoming to new members.

g’day and welcome to the forums.

don’t take it personally, a major problem with the written word is it loses the facial cues, voice inclinations and body language that are present in face to face conversations. (y)
then, in this sort of medium like a forum, there are other factors like cultural/language differences, timing, informational gaps/overloads, and plain old assumptions that get in the way.

we all have off days, I’m sure nothing personal was intended, and certainly nothing inflammatory.

if phil has one area he is passionate about, it’s power supply’s!

Entirely your choice but not sure what your problem is, you were afforded an in depth answer in a polite manner so no apology will be coming from me.

Taking just two games that you mention, Total War and Cyberepunk 2077, the video card required to be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 will play Total War with ease but if you were to purchase a video card that matched the required specs for Total War the card would not work for Cyberpunk 2077 because the card is too weak, we ask the questions that we do to make sure any feedback is 100% or as near to it as accurate as possible.

You have now been afforded two polite, clear and well intended replies so feel free to head off and be offended by nothing elsewhere, wasn`t aware that there was a woke computer help forum though
