I have a quick question, how do I post a video? I have a video of the pc turning on making a loud noise. (again, it only turns on when the black and yellow 4 pin wire isn’t in).

      Usually means hardware failure.

      Could be anything.

Do any of the fans come on when you go to power on the system?

Would strongly suggest that you replace the PSU it is honestly cheap.

Which may have been overworked and taken some components with it.

What were the results after removing the GPU?

You are taking proper precautions while working inside the system?

Honestly think for the sounds the motherboard is gone.

All the fans power up, same result with GPU out. The PSU isn’t the problem as everything has been tested. I have take proper precautions making sure it was all shut down and nothing could short. Also, if I do agree that the motherboard may have gone out too, but it doesn’t explain why it would randomly shut off.

I found out that the PSU is actually making the noise, but it won’t hurt to replace the motherboard too. Should I just replace the PSU first then the motherboard? Or vice versa?

If you can afford it a good psu with a 10 year warranty would be the way to go..

Alright, I’ll see if that can fix it.

                    Always psu first.
Gold rated psu with 10 year warranty can’t go wrong.
Look for about 750W = future proof

A quality 550W-650W 80+ Gold unit from Seasonic, Corsair, or EVGA should be more than enough for your needs depending on the power requirements of your specific 1030 model.

While waiting for the PSU to arrive, I have a question. Why does it turn on when it’s plugged in the main socket and satas also plugged in, but when it gets plugged into the ATX12V input, it won’t turn on at all? Also I found this PSU, I think it will do.

                                wouldn’t touch that PSU.

only Bronze rated, no mention of the warranty period and doesn’t show up in Johnny Lucky’s list.
here is my standard PSU reply…

Any power supply unit certified 80+ Gold (or better) and offering at least a 7 year warranty (preferably 10), and you can’t go wrong.
For example, ThermalTake ToughPower GF1 or GF3 ranges, Cooler Master, Antec, Corsair RM series.
