    Replace Bad Core I3 Motherboard?

Back story on problem: Bought new Windows XP Home Compaq Presario computer in 2003. That computer konked out Dec 2007. Took it to an independent computer shop where he built me a no-name computer and somehow re-activated my XP serial number on the one he built. I have no way of knowing what the serial number is, because the motherboard on the second computer gave out 2 days ago. The original Compaq was an IDE wit 32 bit. The second was was SATA and 64 bit. Over the years I now have 3 hard drives going on that, and a lot of good programs and files. One drive is the original XP with original registration from 2003, a second Linux Mint, and a third for storage.
What can I do about a motherboard? That one was a Core I3. Attached is a photo of it. Is is possible to maybe get an I5, and how do I reactivate my original XP numbers? Because I don’t know what they are, unless they’re on that hard drive. Thank you.

    Hello

Sorry but we can’t do this per rule .. 13. We will not assist with recovery of or figuring out of system passwords, PINs, or 2FA codes for any reason.
