    Computer Upgrade

    Hey there,

I’m interested in upgrading my computer, however I have little to no knowledge in the computer field. I was hoping to upgrade in order to run emulators a little better, specifically Yuzu/Ryujinx. Hopefully the information I have provided below is sufficient, Any information/advice is greatly appreciated.

    My Specs:
    Processor: Intel(R) Core™ i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.70 GHz
    RAM: 8.00GB (7.86GB Usable)
System: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
    Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

    Thank you

g’day and welcome to the forum.

    more memory wouldn’t hurt.
everything else should run those emulators fine.

it would also depend if you want to run the games in handheld or docked mode and at what resolutions.

      Hi,

I would increase the RAM to 16 GB’s and maybe consider upgrading the video card if you are not satisfied with the performance while using the emulators.

You will have to see if the NVidia GTX 970 will be good enough for the settings and resolution you want to run.

before you upgrade ram you need to check what ram the motherboard - not listed above and the cpu can handle.
Can you Download and run and then post. Speccy - Free Download
To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:
In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot dialog box. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
The last part of each URL is randomized, so only people you provide with the URL will be able to find your profile.
The information given in Speccy cannot be used by anyone to hack your system
Could you also include the power supply specs E.g Cooler Master 850W Gold V2 NOT E.g 850w
