Pc sometimes freezes completely or turns itself off

Sometimes pc will turn itself off or freeze completely even when doing basic things like logging in
When bios beeper is used 4 short beeps occur which means something to do with system timer failure but I don’t know how to fix this
Also sometimes pc will work fine while watching videos or gaming for hours and then the issue happens again
If i restart pc after it has froze it does not connect to monitor or mouse and keyboard until i restart it multiple times

Once we have a speccy report we will know what equipment we are looking at.
      When you give power supply.
Could you also include the power supply specs E.g Cooler Master 850W Gold V2 NOT E.g 850w

So bad that it should come with both a health warning and a fire extinguisher, rated as – Tier F • Replace immediately when independently tested,

The PSU is labelled as 500W but the supplies own information label tells us that it falls way short at 408W ( 12V Xs 34A = 408W ) + only having a twelve month warranty period shows how little trust that GameMax have in their own junk.

While we look at the Speccy report, one thing I will suggest is that you change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, High Performance is a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues and a weak PSU such as the one that you have will get hotter and weaker the more that you use it.[/COLOR]

I have changed the power plan to balanced, but given that the freezing is so sporadic I will have to see if it occurs in the next 3 days and update then

No worries but in the meantime see if you can borrow a known good 500W PSU from either EVGA or Seasonic, Bronze efficiency rated is ok for testing but for future reference gaming type builds must always have a minimum of a Gold efficiency rated PSU from the Corsair RM range, EVGA or seasonic.

You are running out of space on drive c: you have 28% free.
Windows 10 requires a minimum of 35% free space.

So far my PC hasnt froze/turned off, but still have a few issues in games where it will freeze momentarily. (I believe due to high CPU usage, not sure)
Still better than having to restart the pc though

Well its been three days with no mention of the original issue so we will go ahead and close/mark the thread.

The PSU information provided 100% still stands, replace it or expect the worst when it goes bang.
