I upgraded gpu and my performance in games got worse?

So I just recently went from a rx 570 to a rx 6600 xt. And on multiple games I can’t even look around with out tanking fps.

What I’ve tried it

• using ddu and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers
  -update bios and chipsets
• Enable My pci x16 slot to gen 3 in bios( was on auto by default)

Idk what to do anymore. I don’t understand what’s going on and I’d like to not spend money on more parts since I just got the gpu but will save if I have to.

This is what I see initially.

Part of the problem could be that the rail that you have the GPU connected to is barley powerful enough to power the card.

If you remove the GPU and run on the onboard how does the system perform.

When you scroll down on the speccy report it does show the correct CPU

Not counting the fact that your primary drive is to small and you are quickly running out of space. Should be 250 GB to 500 GB minimal and that still depends on what the system is used for.

For Windows to be able to run efficiently and to be able to update windows requires 32 GB free space on C drive available at all times, if you don`t you risk Windows becoming corrupt or not being able to update which puts you at risk of malware attack.

Then there is also reserved around 7-20 GB for future updates.

The less space you have the harder the drive and more issues you will have.

Ok so I just fixed the ram settings they are now at 3000 mhz. But you’re saying I should get a better psu and another ssd? And also taking the gpu out and seeing how the system performs what do you mean by that specifically? Like my games or overall bc I don’t what to look for xd. But my old gpu rx 570 was fine with this rig so idk.

Yes a better PSU.

The RX 570 only required
Minimum PSU Recommendation 450 W

The New rx 6600 xt
Minimum PSU Recommendation 500 W

Which that PSU barley puts out 516 watts to that card.

You should always get a PSU that is 100-150 watts more than you need for the system to run properly.

Suggest before you burn out that card get a proper PSU.

But my old gpu rx 570 was fine with this rig so idk

Which in turn tell us that the issue lays with the PSU not being enough
