Trying another keyboard is the only way to rule the present one out as being the cause I`m afraid.
Can you get hold of another video cable to try.
The only thing left to try is seeing if we can change the beep pattern which should give us a clue as to the cause.
[COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)]The following checks require the computer case to be opened so take the following safety precautions 1st, disconnect the power cord from the wall socket, press the case power button for twenty seconds or so to get rid of any residual charge in the system, take anti static precautions before touching anything inside, you can do this by touching a bare metal part of the case or PSU.
Remove all the RAM from the MB, reassemble and power up, does the beep pattern change or does it stay the same.[/COLOR]
Apparently it worked. I used a cable with an adapter and I now get a picture. Strangely enough, it also worked again with the old cable. Nevertheless, thanks for your time and effort. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me.
