Laptop Fans Kick In When The CPU Temp Reaches ~45 Degrees Celcius

I am new to this forum and in general not very experienced in writing threads about my laptop’s problems so if you need me to provide additional information, please, contact me.

My Specs:
Processor Intel(R) Core™ i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.00 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB

I’m using Windows 10.

So I have a Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15.6 and my fans are very very loud even if I’m just browsing the Internet with very little CPU usage. I read a Reddit thread about the problem and installed the NBFC (NoteBook FanContol) app which allows you to control your fan speed manually. With this app, I was able to control only one fan by editing register 160 or 0xA0. However, I am struggling to find the register number for another fan which as I understood from the thread is for cooling the GPU.

I tried to read the datasheet of the motherboard, which I assume is used in my laptop (the name was mentioned in the Reddit thread - SMSC 37N972) but without any experience, I wasn’t able to put the things together.

Can you please help me with my problem and find the register for the second fan? Any advice would be great. Once again, if you think I should specify some details about my laptops, please tell me!

There is no private information that can be used to identify you.
As far as not uploading here, that is not the way the program works, you upload it to the kaspersky site and send the link, that site disects the information into readable bits for us to digest.

Going off of the speccy log, it seems that your laptop is running at 60 percent memory, that seems quite a bit high and probably why the fans are kicking on and running so hard.

Would you be willing to try and trim the startup load and reduce the amount of items running to see if that will cure the issue, or you just want to know about controlling the fans?

Thank you, right now I have a lot of apps open so 60% of the memory is used but fan noise usually doesn’t depend on it. Even if I have just a couple of running apps, as soon as the temperature starts rising a little bit, the fans kick in.

I really wish you could help me solve my problem with fan control.

Unfortunately, the apps on the site you mentioned don’t display any information about controlling the fans. I think it is because my motherboard doesn’t support any interface for them. Seems like the problem can only be solved some hard way. But I’m sure there is one.
