Samsung T7 not detected properly on my Windows 10 PC

    Hi everyone

I’m new here and I wasn’t sure where to best ask my question about my Samsung T7 hard drive… Hope I found the right place for it!
So as the title indicates, my pc does not detect my Samsung T7 properly. It is not the only T7 I have and all other ones are working as they should.
The T7 which isn’t detected: I managed to find the device as “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)” in the Device Manager. A troubleshoot of the device brings out that my pc detects a problem and tells me to restart my computer to apply the fixes, but no changes after restart. Trying to update the driver doesn’t help either as “the device already has the best driver available”.

I’ve made some screenshots of the device properties and copied the detailed description of the error event below (using the Event Viewer program from the device properties). If you need any additional information, please tell me so and where to copy the information from.

Additional Note: This T7 is one I use for work, and it has some important data on it that I just wanted to backup on my other hard drive when this problem occured. If possible, I would be very thankful to find a solution that keeps all the data on my T7.

Thanks a lot and kind regards,
    Alina
