    Working 2 months...

Hello everyone. I recently assembled the following to replace my 990fx/fx8350.
    The parts are:
    MSI B660 mortar wifi ddr5
    Corsair ddr5 memory
    Samsung 870 pro nvme
    Samsung sata ssd 256gb(legacy)
    Intel i5 12600k
Noctua forget the model (big 2 fan twin radiator) legacy
    Corsair 850 watt psu.
At the time of assembly I had an HD7900 video card.
It turned on fine loaded OS fine and ran fine for about a month and a half . It is a gaming PC only. Later on Got a rog strix 3070ti and installed that.
    Removed drivers etc.
Again it started immediately and I was enjoying a pretty sweet gaming experience…angels are singing! Playing games like a mad man for 2 weeks…
2 days ago I hit the fun button
And no signal to monitor..try again. No go.
I check connection..to power, to display, power supply connections both ends…
Still not boot. Not booting into bios.
Powers up fans spin, graphics card lights up and its seems to want to reboot again after 30 seconds or so?

The ez led monitor on the motherboard for cpu is lit red. I reseated ram and pulled video card to try to use the onchip stuff. Still not boot into bios. Fans stay running. Ez led for cpu is red.
    What is my next move?
    Thank you for any suggestions.

The VGA light is because you’re not getting video output.

Make sure the monitor you are plugged into is turned on first, and the GPU is completely removed from the system. Plug into the motherboard and attempt to run off the integrated graphics.

If this does not work I would look at reseating all of the connectors in you PC, the CPU as well.

Hello again. This morning I removed processor and reseated, I pulled and pressed all connectors at both ends where applicable. I reseated ram. I swapped monitors. It Still acted same. I walked away from it to regain calm for a few minutes. I went back and I just moved it over on my desk …wondering. I touched here and there. Wondered more. I pressed the power button out of shear frustration knowing the same thing would result.
Surprised..its booted. I said no way.. I rebooted. All good. I reinstalled the graphics card. Booty boot boot. Its up and running. Seemingly fine.
I have read this type of post many times in my life and was always astonished that it could be something so simple. I honestly dont know why it stopped working and why it started. Thank you Pyro for pointing me down the path, may the fountain of fortune splash liberally upon thee ! Peace

Glad you got it fixed! Keep an eye on it and get back to us if anything starts acting up again. @veeg can mark this as solved in the meantime.
