I’m having an issue with my 2nd computer and it’s honestly kind of baffling.
So I had the machine for about a year before it stopped working. The reason it stopped working, or rather the thing I did to cause it, was I used it as my main computer but it was in a big bulky case and was pretty loud when I was rendering. I’d recently bought a 2nd machine ( because I do a lot of rendering ) and the case/fan setup for that new machine was super quiet. So I decided to buy the same case for my old computer. However, I must have done something wrong while switching everything out because now it get’s no display.
I’ve been building computers for around 15 years now so I’m not a total novice at it, I know about preventing static and what component goes where ect.
Now my motherboard has indicator LEDs to show if there is an issue and on the board I had in at the time, it was showing a CPU issue. So I took out the CPU and put in a new one but it was still showing the CPU issue. So I thought maybe it’s the CPU connectors on the motherboard? So I bought a new motherboard, put the CPU in and it was still showing the CPU issue ( even with a new board and cpu ). That’s when I started to get confused so I thought maybe it isn’t a CPU issuie at all? So I bought a new GPU, new RAM, new PSU and still it gives me the CPU error light. At this point it’s a completly new build from the original, the only thing that is the same is the case. Is it possible for a case to cause an issue like this?
The computer turns on fine and doesn’t beep or anything but I don’t get any display at all. I’ve tried 2 GPUs with no luck and the on-board display ports, again with no luck. I also made sure the CPU had intergrated graphics before testing that.
