For about a year now I have had a temperamental fault with my Medion Desktop PC (Win 10). When it starts up normally you hear a single beep after pressing the power on button. Occasionally though there would be no beep and the PC would not start up. When this has happened in the past I have opened the case up and had good old poke around inside to see what is wrong. And after about an hour of mucking about it would start working again (without knowingly doing anything to fix it). And it would work normally for several weeks. On this occasion though the beep stopped and the PC would not start up. I tried this for a few days and each time no beep and no start up. But this morning I tried again and there was an unfamiliar kind of triple beep (over a period of about 1 second (I have not heard this before)), but the PC is still not booting up. Any help or advice would be much apprceiated.

when you were tinkering inside did you remember to disconnect the power and discharge yourself?
You may have jarred something loose go back through the system and make sure that all cables are connected properly. reseat all cards, DO NOT remove the heatsink for/from the CPU.
Three beeps usually means there is a memory (RAM) issue. -
Thanks for the reply. Yes power disconnected, fully discharged.
All cards reset, still very short triple beep and no start up.Comment

Really sorry, but I can’t see any markings on the PSU without removing it from the case, do you think that is worthwhile?Comment

Just one additional observation. There is a rocker on off switch on the psu, and a push to start button on the front of the PC. When I select the psu rocker switch to on (without having pressed the push to start switch at he front of the pc), the PC momentarily (for about 10 seconds) appears to be trying to start up (all fans running up etc) then all fans stop. I have no recollection of the PC doing this before. Not sure if this is relevant.Comment
