If the system is not under a complete load yes it can be yet can give you a bassline to work from.

Sometimes disconnecting and reconnecting (reseating) will help especially if something came loose by moving the system and or you brush against cable or card ETC.

See what @Bruce says as well and test it for a few days and see what happens.

I did actually, started with one stick of ram, one drive, and got into windows, have been using ever since it happened, it boot it fine, no issues so far, thinking of adding an another piece of ram, though, have no idea how long it’s going to take in order to see any problems.

yeah… with computers, patience is a virtue

sounding like you are on the right path though.

Well yeah, I’ve been transfering components to the other case, and sadly I had to take cooler of the cpu in order to disconnect from the mobo, and while I was unscrewing d15s, it seems that cpu jumped out of its socket, so yeah… That horrifying experience, as how in the world it could happened…???

              bugger!

if the case was standing upright, maybe it just ‘fell’ out, as they should not be spring loaded, but then, I haven’t touched AMD processors for a very long time.

              did the processor survive?
any bent pins, or are the pins in the mobo? (that’s how long ago I touched AMD - maybe like Intel, they have relocated the pins)

Well, the case was placed horinzontally, and I was just unscrewing the sides, and one side of the cpu popped out, as for the pins, I’ll attach the pics.

                  bugger me!!!
who put the thermal paste on - there is way too much, it has seeped onto the processor block and is shorting out multiple pins.
most paste contains metal as this help dissipate the heat.

that whole thing needs a good, gentle, clean with a ear bus or similar and a truck load of rubbing alcohol.
even then, all bets are off as the damage, if any, could already be done.

Nah man, calm down, it’s all good, I never use metallic paste, thats after I took off from the cooler, which wasnt enough paste when I Looked at the heatspreader, but, yeah, my previous cpu had the same thing with paste all over it underneath the socket when I took it off to replace it, I guess it’s gets squeezed all over, even though you put either a blob or a pea size dot???By the way, the paste is non-conductive mx-4, so yeah, I get it why it looks so bad.

Sorry I have no suggestions. However it doesn’t sound right to me that the cpu can just fall out.

The amount of thermal compound used would kill 10 or 20 MBs & CPUs and it doesnt need to be metallic to do so.

I agree with the above comments about the thermal paste.
                            As Bruce suggested.
                            1. Clean paste
                            2. Disassemble and clean, reassemble outside the case to eiminate any short problem.

memory sticks are fine, since I tested each one of them slot by slot, how oxidation can occur if it wasnt exposed to water or humidity?

Water is in the air we breathe = Oxidation
