I have just upgraded my processor from a Intel i3-9100f to an i5 9600k and getting random black screen for a few seconds, only while playing games. I can still hear and move around etc in game, just the display goes black. Nothing else has changed except the processor and swapping back to the old one removes the issue. It only seems to happen when there is visually a lot going on in game, and it happens with multiple games.
I have changed HDMI cable, changed Monitor, kept an eye on temps with MSI afterburner overlay while playing and saw no change. I have updated my graphics drivers. Windows is up to date. Power saving turned off.
Rest of my setup:
Motherboard: ASRock B365 Phantom Gaming 4
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 590
PSU: Corsair RM850
Operating System: Windows 10 Home Edition
Can a faulty CPU cause this issue?
