    incompatible RAM?

Hello, i built my pc 3 weeks ago and i had a problem where my monitor, mouse and keyboard would lose connectivity and not work unless i unplug my pc (power button wouldn’t work either but fans and ram rgb still on). This happened to me twice on these weeks even though pc would work perfectly. After some research i find out my RAM isn’t listed on the memory list of my mobo

Does that mean my DRAM is incompatible with my mobo and that’s what causes the problem?

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

    RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 3600MHz CMW16GX4M2D3600C18

    MOBO: Gigabyte B550M DS3H

PSU: Be Quiet System Power 9 600W

SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2

    Hello nipp,

The RAM is fine with the MB, it is the CPU that the RAM is not compatible with.

That is the wrong RAM for your CPU, AMD state here up to 3200MHz and if you have XMP or DOCP enabled the RAM will get auto OCd past what the CPU can handle and the PC fall over.

Go into the BIOS, disable XMP and then manually set the RAM to run at 3200MHz and the voltage to 1.35V.

You should also make sure that the Windows Power Plan is set to Balanced and not High Performance or Ryzen Balanced.
