Hi all, new here, I sent my PC back for repairs due to getting clock_watchdog_timeout and whea_uncorrectable_error and being told by the company its the CPU and Cooler. Upon returning it they contact me saying the GPU and motherboard were damaged in transit and I’m liable and have to pay $1000. I have attached photos of the damage, I honestly cannot see how the damage could be caused in transit if anyone has seen anything like it before id really appreciate the help.

WHO too the pictures that you attached?
What height did it fall from? Will also depend on how it was packaged, landed, fell onto it.
Since this happened in transit then YOU will need to contact them and file a claim and or pay the $ 1000 is what it may boil down to.
Have even hear of some companies that have done the damage themselves and claim that it was the customer or shipping. Some have even attempted to pass off other damaged parts as customers. Granted that is few and far between.Comment

unless you have played with the graphics card since getting the PC back, it is not attached properly.
the locking pin is not engaged, so yeah, it may have slipped out of its slot a bit in transit, then been knocked or dropped and the g-force has put weight on the card and crack the printed circuit board.Comment
