win7 does not load the graphic card driver

Win7 had been working fine for past months, then when playing a PC game it crashed, but after restarting the PC, the other games played fine, but when playing the game that used to crash it did crashed again.

Artifacts can be seen at the POST, and other screens, but at the Win7’s desktop there seem to be no artifacts, but the desktop resolution got stuck at 640x480 at may be on 8 bits of colour.

win7 does not load the graphic card driver, it was GeForce GTX 460

Desktop resolution got stuck at 640x480 at may be 8 bits of colour, it’s on a 23 inch widescreen, so the desktop view is all zoomed in like crazy. There is no way I can change the resolution higher than the 640x480.

PC has dual boot of Windows 7 64-bit and 32-bit, the above problem happened to the Win7 64-bit. The PC has no problem booting up with the 32-bit in the past, but now it went into BSOD while trying to boot into the 32-bit Windows 7. It has no problem booting up to Win7 64-bit’s desktop.

Please help me to fix this, thanks!

Might try and re seat the hardware in your computer, especially the video card.

Hi. Thanks guys! I am under home isolation, I got the Covid in my household. But most likely I would play it safe to buy another working PC system (to be shipped) to test each parts at a time. I might need to upgrade the PC as well.
        Thanks once and again!

OK, sounds like you are getting a new PC.
let’s close this until things progress and when needed, PM a staff member to re-open this, or start another thread.

          good luck.
