    Motherboard and gpu

    Hey guys i have a question
    Soo im gon a buy GPU in this week, GTX 1060 6GB and im not sure about one thing
    I have ddr3 motherboard and i don’t know if it can support this gpu. i found some articles wich says that my motherboard should have PCIe x16 slot.
    my motherboard is h61mgv3. i opened my case and near the gpu slot iy says PCIe 3.0
    Dunno help me, don’t want to waste money for nothing

    If your bios is up to date. What psu do have.. Complete spec’s please.

      i5 3330
      Im not woried about bottlenecking just gonna use gpu for rendering

        Ok that was the next question.. the i5 3470 or the i5 3570 would stop any bottlenecking or an I7 3770..

          on your motherboard, the blue PCI slot is x16, so that new card should be fine.
          I’d be more worried about physical space.
          the slot is right at the edge of the board, is the board butted up to the edge of the case?
