Filling all 4 dimm slots causes pc to crash when shutting down
So I recently bought new ram and when I completely fill all dimm slots, it causes windows to crash when shutting down and restart giving me error 0xc0000001. The error goes away and windows starts normally when I remove the new ram. I tried the ram in all slots and boots fine and shuts down as well. I only have this problem when filling all ram slots
Specs:
Mb: b450-a pro max

Ram: 2x8gb corsair vengeance lpx ddr4 3200MHz

Usually m/b manufacturers publish their QVL (Qualified Vendors List).
It contains the Vendors (manufacturers) of different memory modules and the combinations that are compatible with each motherboard.
Most likely the combination you have is not compatible -check on your m/b manufacturer’s site.
So I checked and it seems there are no compatible corsair memory sticks for my m/b on ryzen 5 cpu’s even though i’m using them right now without problems, Which is making me very confused.
Odd as it may seem Collapsemine but this could be down to the PSU, CV = Corsair Value which are the lowest spec that Corsair make and no way should one be used with anything more than integrated graphics, Corsair recommend the following type of use here
CORSAIR CV power supplies are ideal for powering your new home or office PC,
And rated as Tier C • Recommended for cheap mid/low-end systems here
Your rig is far from cheap or mid/low end so get yourself an appropriate PSU before something dies, anything Gold efficiency rated, 600W or above and from a brand such as Corsair, EVGA or Seasonic, aim for one that has a ten year warranty or at the very least seven years.

I see, i’ll try to get a new psu as soon as possible. As for the ram it seems i’ll have to make do with 16gb for now until I can upgrade again.
