DVD won't play in CD after burning photos?

I have windows ten and i used a Verbatim discs to burn off some photo’s through Ashampoo 2019 but when I insert the disc, it doesn’t play. Its done something as there’s a line on the disc. Do I need to redo it again or what have I done wrong? Many thanks.

Please bare with me I am autistic and get confused easily.

      As in a physical line?

Does it look like this/a new ring around the disk?

some players won’t recognise a CD until it is ‘closed’ or ‘finalised’ - was there that option in Ashampoo when you burnt the disc?

in case your player is a sensitive little petal, have you tried the disc in other players?

Yes I went to Fugi labs in Salisbury and it worked fine on their computer, only thing is it’s an apple and I have a PC.

I’ve never heard of it, what does it do please? I’ve set Ashampoo to automatically finalize

looks like you have set the option to finalise already, plus it played in the Mac, so that’s not the problem.

closing or finalising is when the CD is finally ‘locked’ and treated as a CD-R, until then it is a CD-RW (if the disc and player allow it) and can be written to many times, until the disc is full.
in my experience, the player/burner making the disc can still read/write to it, but other units can’t, until it’s finalised.

It did work after I played it in someone else’s PC, so I wonder why it would run at first?

What are the specific ones used?

What is the make and model of the CD player that you are using that is having the issue?
