but if I’m right, pull off the power cable from your hard drive and if the noise stops, there’s your culprit.
yes the PC will freeze as you’ve just removed the hard drive in essence, but a reboot of the PC with the power cable reconnected will get you back, albeit with the noise again.

but I don’t have a hard drive, just a NVMe storage. Samsung 980 Pro.
