Trouble Connecting old 3.5 in HDD to new PC

I just upgraded my PC, but wanted to keep using my 6tb HDD. However, I cant seem to connect it up.

It has a wide, flat connector which I can plug in OK, but it seems that I need to plug something else in too, and I have no idea how, there are no cables similar to the connectors on the back of the hdd. The pins are a bit bent also, but I cant even try to deal with that if I cant find where to plug it in!

If anyone knows which of these pins needs to be connected, and how, it would help me a lot!

The motherboard is a rog strix z690 F Gaming.

    Thank you!

So it seems I broke the plastic piece while disconnecting from the old computer. fortunately I managed to fit it in the new cable and slowly feed in the pins, and the drive is working!

When you unplug those SATA cords you need to be extra careful, I wiggle them from side to side so there is no motion along the thin of the plastic (if they are stuck).

I would get any important information off that drive before you are unable to get data off of it anymore, the unit needs to be either repaired or replaced.

Check if your drive still has a warranty, you might be able to get a discount from the manufacturer to have it fixed.

Otherwise, save your data before you can’t anymore, services that do this are extremely expensive, and something like this may work for now, but I have my doubts how long that will last.
