POST failures after installing new ram

I recently upgraded ram on a chillblast pc, used crucials compatibility check and also checked the motherboard user guide to make sure it is compatible. Motherboard ASUS Prime z370-P. Ram is Crucial RAM CT2K16G4DFRA32A 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Desktop Memory. Since then every time the computer is switched on it comes up with a POSTed in safe mode message, after pressing F1 then F8 and selecting windows to boot it comes on as normal. Seems to function ok once it’s up and running. The computer is recognising the newly installed memory and I ran a windows memory check and no problems were found. I have tried a soft and hard reset of the BIOS. I have tried putting the old ram back in and the pc wouldn’t POST at all, put new back in and it’s back to doing the same message but I can bypass it like before. Any ideas on what might solve this would be much appreciated.

have you overclocked the ram with xmp?
By hard reset do you mean you cleared cmos via the motherboard?

Thanks for the reply. No I haven’t touched any settings, I don’t think this memory is xmp enabled anyway but I might be wrong. Yes I did hard reset via motherboard.

Checked and CPU is capable of handling higher ram than 32

            Where did you find that?
You can try and take the ram speed down in the bios to test
If not the only other option I can think of is to remove the cmos battery for 24 hours.
This should drain the motherboard completely.

There are no Intel CPUs that are compatible with that MB that can handle 3200MHz RAM, 2666MHz is the max and that is when paired with an i9-9900K
