PC freeze then black screen on startup

This has only happened twice but has scared me half to death both times. I will be playing a game and my audio will slowly fade and then my PC freezes. I will be able to hear in game chat but i cant hear anything else. I cant ALT-Tab and i cant ALT-F4 so i am forced to hard restart my PC. Upon startup i am presented with a black screen and a small white line similar to a type log. I then have to restart my pc 1-2 times and then it will boot up saying it is installing/completing a windows update. Is my PC just auto updating while im playing or is there something bigger going on? I purchased a prebuilt PC on a tight budget so i am not looking to replace parts if i dont have to. Thanks in advance

So other can assist let get a speccy report.

Do not forget to post the make and model of the PSU if this is a desktop.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Not sure how you missed answering the above and being that the PSU is a prime suspect as the cause of this we need to the information before go any further, will look at Speccy but hold off with any feedback until we have the PSU details.
